At Texas Lutheran University, we believe that art can change the world.

Our students work with a variety of mediums so they can learn to shape their environment, their community, and themselves for a profitable and fulfilling career.

In this diverse and ever-changing economy, graduates of art programs have the opportunity to carve out their own space in the creative sector. Texas Lutheran University’s art programs equip students with a variety of tools and experiences, allowing you to create a full and impressive body of work before leaving campus.

Students have the opportunity to study abroad, jury local art shows and attend national art conferences and workshops. Internships regularly become available within the community, or a student may elect to intern in the art department as a shop tech in the ceramics, sculpture and printmaking labs, or in the campus art gallery. Art students may also participate in the annual juried exhibition that is held in the Annetta Kraushaar Gallery in the Schuech Fine Arts Center. In addition, there are opportunities to showcase their works in other venues throughout the community.
