American Association of University Women

The largest source of funding exclusively for graduate women in the world supports aspiring scholars around the globe, teachers and activists in local communities, women at critical stages of their careers, and those pursuing professions where women are underrepresented.

American-Scandinavian Foundation

For fellowships and grants ranging from $3,000 to $18,000 for post-graduate study.

Andrew W. Mellon Foundation

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation supports exceptionally promising students pursuing graduate and doctoral programs, as well as scholars in the humanities.

Boren Fellowships/ National Security Education Program (NSEP)

Provides up to $24,000 to U.S. graduate students to add an important international and language component to their graduate education through specialization in area study, language study, or increased language proficiency.

Fulbright US Student Program

Grants to recent US undergraduates primarily for research/study and teaching English, though there are other special programs as well.

Fulbright Scholarships from the US-UK Educational Commission

A variety of scholarships to support post-graduate study in the UK.

Harry S. Truman Scholarships

The Truman Scholarship provides up to $30,000 in funding to students pursuing graduate degrees in public service fields. Students must be college juniors at the time of selection.

Marshall Scholarships

Full awards for graduate (and occasionally undergraduate) study in any discipline at any British university.

Rhodes Scholarship Trust

The Rhodes Trust, a British charity, provides full financial support to pursue a degree(s) at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Rhodes Scholars are chosen for their outstanding scholarly achievements, their character, commitment to others and to the common good, and for their potential for leadership in whatever domains their careers may lead.

Rotary International Global Grants

Rotary International offers scholarship opportunities through district and global grants, including funding for graduate-level study abroad.

Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation

The Woodrow Wilson fellowships support the development of future leaders at a variety of career stages in several critical fields: Foreign Policy, Conservation, Women & Gender, Religion & Ethics, and Access & Opportunity.
